Training for Welsh Heritage Organisations

There are nearly 9,000 grant-making trusts in the UK.  Who are they?  What do they fund?  How can you find out more about them?  What makes a successful application?  This introductory one-day course for those involved in Welsh heritage organisations who are new to trust fundraising will answer these questions and more.  It will make specific reference to those trusts that fund heritage projects in Wales.  Delivered by blended learning

Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course participants be able to:
  • Understand what are grant-making trusts and foundations
  • Be aware of what trusts fund
  • Know how to research trusts that fund heritage projects
  • Appreciate the key factors in a successful application
  • Recognise how to connect with and develop relationships with trusts
  • Ensure they comply with relevant legislation and best practice
  • Know where to go for further information, help and advice
Who is this course for?
Those involved in Welsh heritage organisations who are new to trust fundraising - anyone keen to find out more about the potential for raising money from trusts in their organisations whether they be trustees, staff or volunteers. You will need access to a computer at home or work in order to participate fully in this course
