BBC Children in Need Small Grants Programme Re-Opens to Applications

BBC Children in Need is currently accepting applications from charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands that support children and young people who are 18 years and younger.
Small grants of up to £10,000 are available per year for up to three years (£30,000 total request) to not-for-profit organisations in the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands that are supporting children and young people of 18 years and under who are experiencing disadvantage through:
  • Illness, distress, abuse or neglect.
  • Any kind of disability.
  • Behavioural or psychological difficulties.
  • Living in poverty or situations of deprivation.
Organisations must be working to combat this disadvantage and to make a real difference to children and young people's lives. Projects achieve these differences by either working directly with children or seeking to improve their social and physical environments.
Priority will be given to projects where a relatively small amount of money can make a big difference for children and young people.
The 2017 deadlines for applications are 1 June, 1 September, and 1 December 2017.
