PINK RIBBON FOUNDATION

The Pink Ribbon Foundation's principal aim is to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which:
1. Relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer; and
2. Are working to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.
The Foundation provides grant support to charities whose objectives are:
o To relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or have been affected by, breast cancer by providing, or assisting in the provision of, information, care or emotional, practical and financial support; and
o To advance public education in the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment, in particular but not exclusively by commissioning, or conducting, research into the causes, detection and treatment of breast cancer and by disseminating the results of such research.
The Foundation is keen to support initiatives which promote a positive view of living with breast cancer.
Grants up to £5,000 are available.
Larger awards may be made in exceptional circumstances.
Funding is available for revenue, capital or project costs.
Awards are usually confirmed towards the end of July.
During the year ending 30 September 2016, the Foundation awarded grants totalling £268,785 (2015: £210,007).
A list of awards made during the year can be found on pages 10-12 of the Foundation’s annual accounts.
Registered charities working in the field of breast cancer in the UK are eligible to apply.
The Foundation will consider applications from general cancer charities if any grant made will be used to benefit those suffering from, or affected by, 50% of patients with Breast Cancer or for research into, or the dissemination of information about, breast cancer.
The Foundation welcomes applications from all ethnic and minority groups.
PLEASE NOTE: organisations with limited financial resources will be prioritised for grant support.
The 2018 application deadline is Thursday 31st May.
Groups that have not registered with the Pink Ribbon Foundation and are considering applying for a grant can send an email to the Foundation at any time of the year to be added to the register.
Further information and an application form can be downloaded from the Foundation's website.
