MAURICE HATTER FOUNDATION

The Maurice Hatter Foundation offers grants to charitable organisations operating in the UK, Israel or South Africa for projects in the following fields:
o Education;
o Social welfare;
o Medical research;
o Religion;
o International policy research; and
o Culture and the environment.
There is no minimum or maximum grant award level.
During the year ending 5 April 2017 the Foundation awarded grants totalling £713,170 (2016: £928,665) which were allocated against the following categories:
o Education £427,670 (2016: £830,148);
o Social welfare £182,000 (2016: £67,000);
o Medical research £93,500 (2016: £8,750);
o Religion £5,000 (2016: £9,500);
o International policy research £ 5,000 (2016: £10,767); and
o Culture and the environment £0 (2016: £2,500).
Grant awards made during the year ranged from £1,000 to £155,000.  The Foundation's grant-making pattern suggests a preference for more prestigious as well as Jewish causes.

There is no requirement for match funding.
