PETER CRUDDAS FOUNDATION

The Peter Cruddas Foundation gives priority to programmes provided by registered charities in England and Wales that are designed to help disadvantaged and disengaged young people to pursue their education (including vocational), training and, more generally, develop their potential.
Funding is available for the following three priority areas:
1. Pathways/support for young disadvantaged or disengaged people (between the ages of 16 and 30 years) into education, training or employment;
2. Work experience/skills projects for young people aged 16 to 30 years; and
3. Youth work in London, particularly evening work for disadvantaged young people aged 16 to 30 years.
There is no minimum or maximum amount of grant and projects can be funded for more than one year. Awards are generally between £1,000 and £25,000.
During the year ending 31 March 2017 the Foundation awarded grants totalling £404,075.
A list of all grant awards made during the year can be found on pages 15 and 16 of the Trust’s annual accounts.
Funding is not available for:
o Organisations that have an outstanding End of Grant Report relating to previous funding from the Foundation;
o Charities in Scotland and Northern Ireland;
o Capital appeals;
o Community Interest Companies (CICs);
o Social Enterprises;
o Individuals; or
o Repeat funding.
The Foundation has two application deadlines each year on 1 March and 1 September.
The next deadline is therefore Friday 1 March 2019.
