CLORE POETRY AND LITERATURE AWARDS ANNOUNCED

The Clore Duffield Foundation has launched a new funding programme worth £1 million over the next five years, 2011 to 2015.

The scheme follows on from the previous small grants programme, the Clore Performing Arts Awards (which closed in 2010) and aims to support organisations and schools across the UK in trying out new ways to engage children and young people, under the age of 19, in poetry, literature and creative writing.

Individual awards will range from £1,000 to £10,000.

Applications are welcome from:

  • Schools and colleges.
  • Professional literature, poetry and creative writing organisations, and libraries.
  • Other arts/cultural organisations (eg museums, galleries etc).
  • Established community groups.
  • Not-for-profit organisations.

The deadline for submissions to Round One is 5pm on Friday 20 May 2011.
