Core funding and free training for health charities: 2011 IMPACT Awards

All charities struggle to meet their core costs and the IMPACT Awards are designed to provide much needed core funding, training and national recognition for small to medium sized charities working in health care.

Up to 20 awards will be made with an overall winner receiving £35,000, nine other winners receiving £25,000 and highly commended and runner up organisations receiving £5,000 and £3,000.

If you apply for an IMPACT Award you do not need to present a new project as the application focuses on what you have already achieved. To be eligible you must have been operating for at least three years, have income between £10,000 and £1.5 million and be working in a health related field in the UK.

Organisations that win or are highly commended for an IMPACT Award will also be invited to send up to two representatives to take part in the IMPACT Awards Development Network which provides free training valued at £4,000 for each organisation.

'The recognition of excellence that an IMPACT Award gives will aid us in negotiating with current and potential funders.'

'The training enabled me to look at our work in a new light. I cannot stress how important it was to have expert objective analysis and ideas.'
