Feel the Heat Awards - 2010 Round Open

The Feel the Heat Awards programme for 2010 is now open to applications. The programme is designed to encourage activities that provide solutions for affordable warmth in Wales, with the long-term outcome of eradicating fuel poverty.

Directly supporting the Welsh Assembly Government's Fuel Poverty Commitment, grants will be provided to develop or enhance existing innovative projects demonstrating achievement in one of the following categories:

  • Tailoring financial advice for people at risk of fuel poverty.
  • Supporting households who experience poor health.
  • Monitoring the impact energy efficiency advice has on low income households.

Not-for-profit organisations in Wales, including local authorities, health and welfare groups and the voluntary and community sector may apply. One successful organisation or partnership will receive an award of £4,000 and two runners-up will receive awards of either £2,000 or £1,000. The prize money is intended to help winners to deliver or develop their initiative between 15 November and 31 December 2010.

The deadline for receipt of entries is 1 September 2010.
